This Southwestern Mediterranean country has a population of 48 million.  Catholicism is the most common religion in Spain, yet only 18% of the people call themselves Practicing Catholics.  A higher percentage are non-practicing at 38%.  The rest would be considered agnostic or atheist, with a small percentage calling themselves ‘other religion’. The youth of the country say they are mostly indifferent to religion and traditional values.
