Ministry Blessings…
We were very were busy during the month of June and it was a great reminder of how God has blessed in so many creative ways…..
Staff Retreat
Amazingly we are in our 18th year of ministry and I am constantly filled with joy when I think about the awesome people that God brought to join our team as we connect a Timothy Culture in the Church through Small World Connections. We currently have six staff members working with our ministry and since we are not always together due to the various places we all live, it is important for us to set aside time to connect, pray and encourage each other. We do this through monthly staff meetings and once a year we hit the road and meet up for few days of fun. This year we spent two nights in the Staved Rock area of Illinois where we hiked, kayaked, played disc golf, laughed and spent time in prayer as we discussed the book of Nehemiah and focused on vision. Please pray for our staff as they each work hard to serve the Lord in this ministry.
Looking at the top picture from left to right please pray for Matt Ashcraft our Resale Director, Steve Waggoner our Go Team Director, me Brent Ressler the Executive Director, Carl Baker-Christophel our Operations Director, Chris Brett our Communications Director and Jordan Riggenbach our Gap Year Intern! What a team!!!
Video Ministry
One way we love to serve our mission partners is to provide video production services that will help them fulfill their ministry goals. Recently our Communications Director Chris Brett and myself had the fun opportunity to shoot an interview with our friend Jake who is the leader of a ministry providing schools for children in South Asia. Adding footage that we shot on a recent international trip we will be able to provide a video that can be used to share the vision for more school and church plants in the future! God is good.
We are so excited to announce that we have taken possession of the new location for our Pontiac Helping Hands Resale Shoppe! As you can see it was formerly a VFW building and will require lots of sweat equity. Owning our own building there will allow us to give even more to local and international charities and expand the ministry. Please pray for all of the work that is happening now and will happed in the month ahead. We could use the extra hands so let us know if you can help with the renovation. We will work all through July to get it ready and plan to move from our current rented location in early August. Thanks for praying!
We have brand new brochures that we use to fill people in about what Small World Connections is all about! The goal was to have our new brochures complement the look and feel of our website and that is exactly how they turned out! Please let us know if you would like a handful of brochures to share with friends or other ministries to let them know how we might be able to help them follow through on what God is calling them to do for His Kingdom! Please pray for God to move us further into what He has for us this year as we serve others!
