Travel, Training and Moving…

We saw the Lord do many great things in the past month and we have included a few of those here for praise and prayer as we move further into what God has for Small World Connections as we continue to connect at Timothy culture in the Church!

We took a six man team to serve our partners at Jeta in Albania where our good friends Nathan and Cydil Waggoner serve and where we made a bunch of new friends as we served.   Part of our team focused on the the production of a documentary film centered on the 30 plus year story of the Gospel coming to that community and the continued spiritual legacy God established through the work of those who had gone there way back in 1993 on a short term visit. The rest of our team focused on sports ministry and came alongside all of Jeta’s staff and volunteers in their efforts to minister to those with special needs, children from the community and the church that was established through their ministry. It was an amazing week and pictures do not do the beauty of the country and the people justice, but if you have any questions about any of these pictures please contact us and we would love to fill you in on what God is doing.

Disciple Making Training
We had a blast as we were guided through the training Ministry is Relationships by our good friend Bill Allison from Cadre Missionaries and our Go Team Director Steve Waggoner.  This was the same excellent training that we recently provided for our volunteers and staff from Helping Hands Resale.  This time we offered it to local churches and ministries.  It was a FREE day of training that included all materials and a catered breakfast.  It was so fun to grow and learn together in a very interactive way with the 25 who attended.  God is using our partners at Cadre Missionaries in exciting ways and it was good to connect with them and see many challenged and encouraged in their commitment to make disciples who make more disciples.  Thank you for praying and please pray for fruit from the time we spent in the training.

Moving in Pontiac…
There is no way to get around the fact that moving means there will be two locations in disarray for several days and that proved to be true as we moved out of our rental location for the resale shop in Pontiac Illinois to the new location in a building that we are purchasing.  As you can see from the pictures we had great volunteers come and serve for several days in a row.  It is looking like the new location will open next week and praise the Lord that we were able to clean out the old location quickly and focus on setting up the new spot.  The journey of how we came to our new location has had many tough moments and many points where we had to put it solely in the Lord’s hands.  As always He was and is faithful and did more than we could ever have thought to ask for in our moments of difficulty.  Please pray that we open on time and that our customers find us and are blessed by the new place to shop as we continue to raise funds for local and international charities.
