December 2024 PRAYER Update
We mentioned our efforts to begin connecting the youth ministry leaders in our community. We call our group of youth ministers and youth org leaders CLOY which stands for Chillacon (Chillicothe and Lacon) Leaders of Youth. Well a cool thing happened….leaders from six different ministries worked together and put on a great youth Christmas party! And believe it or not next month they will have a winter retreat together. This is at the heart of Small World Connections to see the Body of Christ come together to reach our communities with the hope of the Gospel. Thank you for praying and please pray for the Lord to bring the fruit from these efforts!
Our Chillicothe Helping Hands Resale Shoppe was honored to be given the Community Pride and Performance Award by our local high school band and their boosters. We were welcomed on stage at the annual Christmas concert to receive the award. The band director Matt Chapman thanked our managers and volunteers for all of the years of supporting the local youth that are involved in band by financial gifts each year. It was shared that Helping Hands has given over $11,000 to the band program since we started. It was a fun celebration! Please pray for continued blessing to all of the communities that Helping Hands serves.
We recently had the joy of serving our partners at GROW International by providing a few days of video production to help them share the vision for their stateside ministry and to help them get the word out about their resale ministry in East Chicago. What a blast to spend time with old friends and see their family as we hung out at their new resale ministry called Trinity Thrift and shot video throughout the day. God is good! Please pray for God to use the store as way to build relationships and to reach the local community with the hope of Christ!
